Encalc is an online scientific calculator. Its strength lies in its ability handle units and dimensional analysis, to define variables and its large database of constants. Parenthesis and scientific formulas are also supported.
Unit Conversions
Encalc can be used for unit conversions and dimensional analysis. To convert from Metric to US Customary Units, try inputting "2 cm + 3 meters expressed in feet" and hit "Encalc!". Other conversions are handled similarly.
Using parentheses
Encalc supports parentheses in calculations. You can use both normal "(4+6)/(3-1)" and curly "{2-4}*4" or both at the same time "(3+6)/{2+1}".
Defining variables
Define your own variables to get the most out of Encalc. You can type "M" in the first box and "12 grams" in the second box to define "M=12 grams". From there, you only have to refer to M in your formulas.
Physical constants
Encalc knows most physical constants. "The speed of light" and "c" would both be equal to 299800000 m / s. Try other constants - there's hundreds of defined units and constants.
